What a fantastic opening ceremony ! we all ( plus about 20 thousand others) went to Victoria park to watch it on big screens - people were queuing round the block to get in. There were loads of things to do, mini bungy jumping, hamster balls ( on water),the zone ( a mini fitness course),zip wires & a huge ferris wheel. The atmosphere was amazing , everyone was up for it !

Walking home we saw some of the volunteer performers going into Homerton station- those NHS nurses were whooped & cheered from the crowds having Olympic parties in the flats overlooking the station- even the shopkeepers came out to see what was going on!
