I have a ‘special’ book that I did try to keep secret from the kids. I bought it from Merci in Paris, one of my favourite shops and it’s to keep all the pictures and bits that the kids do that I really love.

I mean, I do love all the work they do but after a while it’s difficult to get so excited about another splurge painting.So secretly I’ve just kept the pieces that are ( in my opinion)really beautiful or really make me smile e.g. Finn’s detailed worksheet of how to kill a fly and Daisy’s quirky drawings.

Unfortunately Daisy has discovered it & keeps coming with various pieces & I don’t have the heart to say no !

I’ve hidden it for a while in the hope it’ll be forgotten  & I can reclaim the aesthetic !
